October in Vermont is absolutely stunning, it almost goes without saying. It’s like that picture-perfect Hallmark movie or a postcard where you see the foliage and go “is that REAL?”. That’s undoubtedly why autumn in Vermont is one of the most popular times of year for an adventure elopement.

Now, there are so many ways to plan an adventure elopement in Vermont in the fall. You could spend the afternoon celebrating your vows in Stowe, followed by champagne and a golf cart ride down the mountain. Or maybe you want to keep it low key and find a cute Airbnb for the weekend, relaxing and soaking it all in together.

Planning Your Adventure Elopement

For Chelsea & Jonathan, hiking in Vermont was an activity that they grew to love together. John grew up skiing in Vermont and, as Philly natives, it was an escape to get away from the city life.

In late October, you can even get a beautiful dusting of white snow – but what we weren’t prepared for was the balmy 70 degrees that was so atypical for that time of year! Sometimes, you never know what you’re going to get.
