Real, raw, moments

captured organically and with intention

Family sessions with your Vermont family photographer are designed to feel nothing like the stiff, rushed experiences you may have had in the past. There’s no pressure for perfect smiles, no rigid posing, and no expectation that little ones sit still or perform on cue.

Instead, the focus is on creating space for your family to simply be together and spend intentional time in a way that feels joyful, interwoven, and untethered.

Whether your little ones enjoy running barefoot through the summer fields, exploring a backyard trail in the woods, or simply snuggling up and reading a book together – every moment is welcomed. With a gentle, intuitive approach, the session unfolds naturally, guided by your family’s unique rhythm, energy, and connection.

Family Photography

Your time capsule for stillness and newness of life – a snapshot of the quiet, loud, beautiful, messy moments of the early days. When everything feels new, tender, and beautifully undone. With a slow, baby-led approach and a gentle hand, these sessions create space to rest, to breathe, and to hold onto the fleeting magic of a beginning that passes all too quickly.

Motherhood sessions are an invitation to slow down and step into the beauty of stillness—the wild laughter, the soft breeze and bare feet, the quiet in-between moments spent together under cotton candy skies. Thoughtfully designed, gently guided, and rooted in honest connection, these sessions are an opportunity to be present in your own story.

Motherhood & Maternity Photography

Family sessions are a chance to embrace the beautiful chaos of whatever season you’re in right now. Lean into movement, wild energy, and the quiet connections; explore together with barefoot wanderings, wind-tangled hair, and belly laughter. Lightly guided and full of freedom, these sessions are about capturing your family as you are right now – imperfect and ever-evolving.

How it Works:

Booking Your Vermont Family Photographer

We hired Amelia for our first ever family photo shoot with our one year old. She was so easy to work with and the gallery of photos she created is stunning. She kept the shoot fun and relaxed, which we all really appreciated! She is so talented and we will cherish these photos forever.

- Bailey & Dave

Amelia was a dream to work with! She gave us so much direction to make the vision for our maternity photos come to life. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience with her. From her personality, professionalism, vision, talent, and the amazing eye for editing- we will be coming back to her to capture all of our special life events!

- Chelsey & Matthew

We worked with Amelia for our family’s annual photos. We loved working with her! She was super thorough and provided a questionnaire on our vision ahead of time. I also appreciated the way she worked with our kiddo. She made the environment really natural for us and our son was very comfortable (he’s 3). We would love to work with her again!

Like planting a tree – the best time to book your family session is now (not ten years from now). You don’t need to wait until you feel like the timing aligns, the weather is perfect, or you’ve grown back your postpartum hair. You’ll want to remember this season for what it is – right at this moment.

everything you need to know before booking your family session with amelia marie photography

Hi, I’m Amelia — your adventure elopement and wedding photographer for couples who want their celebration to feel authentic, honest, and deeply joyful.

I grew up in the Green Mountains of Vermont, where my childhood was spent barefoot in the garden or wandering through the woods, sap and pine needles clinging to my feet. Being immersed in nature from such a young age shaped how I see the world — and eventually, how I photograph it.

My approach is rooted in storytelling and connection. I focus less on stiff poses and perfection, and more on creating space for you to be fully present with each other. Whether you’re an avid thrill-seeker or someone who simply loves slow, intentional walks through the woods, an adventure elopement or wedding is really about the simplicity and honesty of celebrating in a way that feels true to you — grounded in love, nature, and the people who make it all meaningful.
