Victoria & Chris’ Hotel Vermont Elopement

A picture-perfect elopement celebration in downtown Burlington, Vermont

Meeting Victoria and Chris for the first time was like reuniting with old friends you haven’t seen in a few years and picking up right where you left off.

When we first chatted, they told me all about their life together for the past 15 years – traveling across the country for Phish shows, visiting Burlington on their first trip together, and how they wanted their elopement day to reflect exactly who they are as an adventurous couple.

By the Shores of Lake Champlain in Burlington VT

For Victoria and Chris, a Vermont elopement by the shores of Lake Champlain was perfect for everything that they envisioned for their celebration together – somewhere a little off the beaten path, with a stunning Vermont backdrop and their furry friend, Nellie, at their side.

We met at Hotel Vermont, one of the best dog friendly hotels in Burlington VT, where Nellie helped by being such a good girl as Victoria put on her final touches. Of course, Nellie also wanted to take part in the first look, so that Chris could turn around to see both his ladies all dressed for the day.

An Adventure to Lone Rock Point

We set off from downtown Burlington, VT to head to the shores of North Beach for a sweet and simple ceremony, officiated by yours truly, a few short vows, and an exchange of rings to be followed by an adventure on the Lone Rock Point trails to soak in all the goodness of Lake Champlain. I absolutely LOVE when couples do something special to remember the day and when Victoria showed me their matching rings I was so blown away – they had engraved the coordinates of the Lone Rock paths to commemorate the celebration together.

Hitting Up all the Music Spots

To send these two off in style, we visited the infamous Nectar’s Restaurant, home of Phish, and walked along the waterfront park in Burlington before heading back to Hotel Vermont for a celebratory cake and toast overlooking the waterfront and Green Mountains.

It was a picture-perfect Vermont elopement celebration.
