A Valentine’s Day Elopement in Stowe
What’s more romantic than eloping on Valentine’s Day?
When Katelyn and Austin reached out to me about their Stowe elopement vision, I was ALL on board. Stowe is one of my favorite places in Vermont for elopements, and the significance of their date made me all gushy and mushy with excitement.
The couple met way back in their high school days, and Stowe was originally planned to be their honeymoon after their Pennsylvania-planned wedding. After COVID threw a wrench in their plans, the two decided to keep in small and sweet, inviting their parents and close family to celebrate with them.
Katelyn and her mom, dressed in knee-high winter socks and boots (it is, after all, Vermont), left the Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa in the morning – Kate in her stunning A-Line gown and mom in Vermont’s very own winter uniform of snow-pants and jacket.
The ceremony took place at the Timberholm Inn, an intimate and memorable moment for both families and their kids. As Katelyn descended the stairs of the Inn, Austin waiting below, she yelled at the top of her lungs: “I’m coming for you!!”.
An Adventurous Vermont Elopement
My favorite thing about Vermont elopements is that the day can really be whatever you want – the sky is the limit. For Katelyn and Austin, the winter-wonderland that is Stowe, Vermont was perfect for everything they envisioned on their day together.
An adventure elopement is an intimate and authentic celebration of you as a couple. It is about experiencing the joy and being with each other in a truly special and unique way to create the wedding experience of your dreams.
