A Summer Beach Elopement Near Portland, Maine

If you’re anything like me, you dream about New England summers all year long. The long warm days, cotton-candy sunsets, and salty waves on the beaches of Maine that create a sense of calm when mixed with that salty-sea smell.

As a New England elopement photographer, I travel to Maine several times a year to celebrate with couples who are looking for a fun, adventurous and intimate celebration. Emily and Tim could not have fit the bill more perfectly when we started planning their Maine elopement on the shores of Reid State Park, just under 50 miles from the beautiful city of Portland.

When couples reach out to Amelia Marie Photography to start planning their elopement or intimate wedding, one of the very first questions I always ask is “What do you envision as the perfect day together?” For Emily and Tim, their passion had always been weekends spent hiking outdoors and beach days during the summer. On their elopement day, we explored the stunning rock formations at Reid State Park and watched the sun set as the two spent the evening celebrating their vows with a romantic beach picnic, a champagne toast, and – of course – a dip in the ocean!
